THE BAGDAD RAILWAY.
EXTENSIONS AUTHORISED. United Press Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, March 18. The Porte has agreed to allow the Bagdad Railway Company to extend the line to Bagdad. The company renounces a lien of 4 per cent on increased Customs duties, receiving _ instead security upon the Empires general revenues. The company will build a branch lino from Osmameh to Alexaudretta and construct a harbour at Alexandretta. Reuter's Constantinople correspondent reports that the company has agreed to the Porte arranging for the construction of the Bagdad-Persian Gulf section of the lino on thebasisoi Germany having equal participation with any foreign Power.
