PACIFIC SUPREMACY.
THE FEAR OF JAPAN. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 20, 9 a.m.) LONDON, March 19. Tho "Times" £ays that Australia's fear of the Japanese is more reasonable than Britain's fear of Germany, yet Britain in tho egoism of fear has concentrated her ships in the North Sea. Sir E. Grey and Mr M'Kenna are wholly absoi-bed in Great Britain's possible danger. If Japan forced her policy upon Australia or the United States attempted to intorfore with Canada, the margin at home would be so fine that Britain would be unable to interfere. Admiral Henderson's report shows that Australasia's preparation for defence is rather leisurely, but the progress of events is likely to quicken it.
