«.— NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. Tho . twenty-second annual championship meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held at Lancaster Park this afternoon. There was a large attendance of the public, and tho contests were keen and interesting:. The weather was gloriously fine, being, if anything, rather too hot lor comfort. ■ Following are the results: IOOi'DS PLAT CHAMPIONSHIP (present champion, W. A. Woodger, Wellington. Dougall (Canterbury) . . 3 E. H. Wright (Canterbury) also started. Wikon took the lead, followed by Dougall and Harding. This order was maintained until 150 yards from home, where Wright dropped out. Harding camo up with a fine sprint and won by throe yards, Dougall being two yards away. Time—lmin G8 4-osec. 120 YDS HURDLE CHAMPIONSHIP (present champion, A. E. Evensen, Wellington. World's amateur record, 15 l-ssec; Australasian and Now-Zealand, 15 l-ssec. Standard, 16 l-ssec). First Heat. F. Cook (Canterbury) . . . 1 A. E. Evenson (Wellington) . . 2 Won by a yard. Time—l 6 3-ssec. Second Heat. G. P. Keddell (Southland) . . 1 F. V. Rooinson (Canterbury) . . 2 R. M'Kenzie (Wellington) . .3 W. Page (Canterbury) also started. Won easily by six yards. Page fell. Time —l6 l-ssec. THREE-MILE WALK CHAMPIONSHIP (prosent champion, D. Wilson, Auckland. World's amateur record, 20min 24 4-ssec; Australasian, 21min 23 l-sseo; New Zealand, 21min 87sec. Standard, 23min). H. E. Kerr (Wellington) ... 1 D. Cashman (Wellington) . . 2 P. H. Stubberfield (Canterbury) . 3 D. Carline (Otago), P. J. Fitzgerald (Wellington) and R. Twyneham (Canterbury) also started. Kerr went to the front early and gained a lead of a hundred yards. At the end of a mile Kerr, Cashman and Stubberfield were the only competitors left in. Cashman kept well ahead of Stubberfiold, who made up a little at tho end of two miles. Then Cashman livened up, but Kerr was steadily increasing his lead, and won by almost a lap, with Stubberfiold closing up on Cashman. Time—2lmin.46 2-Sseo.
