The strikers at the harvester works have already sacrificed over £16,000 in wages. • MELBOURNE TIMBER STACKERS. (Received March 18, 10.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, March 18. There has been a recrudescence of trouble among the timber stackers. The masters refused a conference, and the men thereupon dumped the timber at the wharves instead of placing it on waggons. Work is at a standstill, and several vessels are held up. A TRADES UNION CASE. MELBOURNE, March 18. ' As an outcome of the famous Osborne judgment, a perpetual injunction has been made restraining the Illawarra Colliery Employees' Association from joining the Coal and Shale Workers' Association of Australasia. The case is the outcome of the proposal that the Ula-warra Association should subscribe to the funds of the other Association.
