The following games- have been, recorded in the fiiot round of the Canterbury Club's Mitchell Rose-bowl competition :--Spaake (4) beat Button (2), 20 to 14; Ronavne (4) beat Lowry (scr); Gabites (5)- beat Maynard (2), 20 to 19; Hoffman (1) beat R. Thompson (3). 22 to 21; Spiller (1) beat Shaw (4), 18 to 17; J. Xhomoson (4) beat Barnett (1), 20 to 15. The Maddison Trophy singles championshm, entries for which close today, will be played at the Christ-church green on Thursday next, commencing at noon. It had been decided that ail games were to be played on neutral greens, unless the Centre, with the consent of the contestants in any particular game, decided to the contrary. Following the usual custom, however, it is now proposed to play off all games on one green (Christchurch), provided no objection is taken to this course. liinks consisting of Lowry ; Ronayne, Barnett and Brown (skip) for Canterbury, and of Stevens (father and two sons) and Allabone.for United, journeyed to Akaroa yesterday, and were to play a match against the Akaroa Club to-day. In tho final of the Canterbury Club's Maddison Trophy elimination competition, White and Lowry are to play. In tho fourth round of the same club's championship singles, Denny has beaten Brown, and Lowry, White, Shaw and Button have yet to meet. In the fourth round of the Argyll singles competition Cherry beat Spiller and R. Thompson beat Marshall. In the semi-final of the Non-Star doubles (Stewart Dawson prise) Spiller and Marshall (scr) beat Roxburgh and Fleming (3). Ronayne and Thompson beat Roxburgh and Fleming. Ronayne and Spiller played off in the final, Spiller winning by 21 to 17. In the Colours Doubles competition, Barnett and .Mitchell heat Button and Ronayne and Hoffman and Baker beat Barnett and Mitchell. In the Bowker Colours Rinks competition Hoffman's rink beat Iledpath's, Dixon's beat Hoffman's and Dixon's beat Redpath's. In the NonStar Singles Maynard' beat Lees, Summers beat Murphy, Gabites beat Broadley, Ronayne beat Marshall, Duggan beat Cherry and J. Thompson beat Spiller. In the Colours Doubles Barnett and Mitchell beat Button and Ronayne and Hoffman and Baker beat Barnett and Mitchell, In the semi-final of the Edgeware Club's M'Carg Bowls competition Davis's rink beat Talbot's rink by 21 to 19 on the twenty-second head, and Neave's rink beat Maynard's by 26 to 18. The final will be contested during the coming week between Blank, Hyde, Otley and Davis (skip) and Dollan, Marker, Beanland and Neave (skip). The honorary treasurer of the Canterbury Club, Mr W. Roxburgh, has resigned his position in view of jjis departure for Sydney shortly. The Canterbury Club has decided to levy 10s per member in order to place its finances in a thoroughly sound condition.

The Easter tournament of the Christchurch Centre is to be played on April 14, 15 and 17. Rinks and doubles matches will figure on the programme, which is to be issued shortly. In the final of the United CluVb Club Feathers competition, Steadman, Greig, Ellis and Fraser (skip) beat Beswick, Parson, Wilkinson and Mercer (skip) by 22 to 19. The match was a very closely-contested one, the scores at the tenth, twelfth, fifteenth and eighteenth heads. Fraser won on the last head by a few good shots from his own hand. In the third round of the same club's Club Colours competition, Rayner and Mercer beat Jameson and Beswick, Ellis and Fraser beat Brawn, jun., and Roe, and Finnigan and Woolf beat Greig and Soper. The United Club has instituted a handicap singles competition for first and secondyear players. A first prize valued at £1 Is is offered.

_ln the United Club's championship singles competition, J. Brown, Lillington and Mercer have won their sections and will play off shortly. In the handicap singles competition Mercer with eight wins and Lewis with nine wins are loading in Section 1, and Lillington with six wins and Haszard with five wins are leading in Section 2. The following scores have been recorded in the first round of the Christchurch Club's President's Rink competition:—Brifcta in, Shand, Williams and Gurney (skip) 29 beat Atkinson, Money, Minson and Bishop (skip) 17; Quane, Br Thomas, Inkson and. Barnett (skip) 21 beat Sapsford, Elliott, Daniels and Helliwell (skip) 16; Cooke, Langford. Bunting and Clark (skip) 19 beat Grierson, Rowe, Dr Sandstein and Seager (skip) 14.

In the St Albans Club's champion doubles competition, Henley and Brown beat Brice and Sneddon, Davidson and Ingram beat Coxhead and Willis, Raphael and Taylor heat Livingstone and Simpson, Raphael and Taylor beat Ingram and Davidson, and Henley and Brown beat Parsons and Le Creii. In the handicap doubles M'Kenzio and Livingstone heat Dh Feu and Brice.

In the competition between seven members of the Rangiora Club to decide who should represent the club in the Mnddison trophy matches T. It. Cresswell and W. Efford tied with five wins and a loss each. The tie was played off last evening, and Efford won.
