AQUATIC.

The rowing season is now drawing to a close. With, the exception- of crews training for club races, the river is bare, the regattas being almost over. Dick Arnst umpired in the x . Kemp Handicap on the Parramatta River recently. Beach and Harry Pearce were the starters and P. Kemp was the principal haudicapper, so that there were soma " big guns" interested. Sydney critics do not think thai Pearce will have any hollcw victory when he meets S. A. Kemp for the championship of Australia next month, though Pearce himself expressed ' surprise when N '.ie heard that Kemp had put up the deposit for the race. Miss K. Ryan, of the Northern Rivers district, and champion thereof, has agreed to row Mrs Francis for.a stake of £4O and the sculling championship of Australia for women. The race will be rowed on March 25 on the championship course, in conjunction with the Hundred Carnival. Pleasure skifr3 are to be used, but thoy may be fitted with slides- if so desired.
