Tho manure works strike has ended, the men's demands having been conceded. WORK FOR STRIKERS. (Received March 17, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 17. Mr King O'Malley, Minister of Home Affairs, promised the Trades' nail Council that his Department would find employment on the day labour principle for as many as possible of the men now on strike. SHEARERS' DISPUTE. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, March 17. At the Arbitration Court this morning, it was suggested that the parties in the shearers' dispute should hold a conference whilst the Court is sitting at Palrnerston, with a view to an arrangement. The Court intends to make an award.
