The "Telegraph," discussing the gravity of tlie relations between America and Japan over the question of the supremacy of the Pacific, deals with .Australia's danger. It proceeds, "We must rely on the Imperial Navy to protect us, and; it may be fully occupied in European waters. Tn the light of such an outlook, see. the importance of colonial effort going to strengthen the Imperial Fleet, and realise the grim joke of Australia being ready with its own little navy ~wenty or twenty-two years hence."
