[Per Passs Association.] WELLINGTON, March 15. News was brought by the Arahura that a man, whose name has not so far' been ascertained, dived off Pictou wharf early this evening, and was taketi to Picton Hospital in a serious condition. At Rangiora on Monday, Mrs J. Wheeler fell in her back y&vd and broke her left arm near the wrist.

The results are to hand of a senior and junior typists' examination, conducted, at Gilby's College in December, under the auspices of the National Shorthand Association (Incorporated), Typists' Section, the supervisors being Messrs F. B. Sapsford, member of the examining board, and S. C Owen, and Dr H. G. Denham. The secretary, in a covering letter dated January 30, says:—"l should like to congratulate you upon the excellence of the work submitted by your students. I am this day sending off the results of examinations at six different foreign and colonial centres, and yours is by far the best, 100 per cent passing." The following are the results in alphabetical order: —Senior typists—Misses E. M. Bussell and D. P. Penberthy. Junior typists—Misses J. S. Berkeley, D. Bradbury, N. V. Buchanan, Lydia Davidson, J.
