f.EW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. On Saturday the New Zealand amateur athletio championships will be held at Lancaster Park. The local Centre has made careful preparations for the conduct of the meeting, and all arrangements are well in hand. A very strong contingent erf athletes will come down from the North Island, and Otago is also sending up a good team. In the middle and long distance events such well-known nmners as Mill, Ueatson, Dickson and Burk will • e , e ? ga & ed ' while tho sprinters will include Opie, the runner who has been performing so creditably of late, and Keddell, who was timed to have broken the world's record in the 120 yds Hurdle Race at a meeting recen'tlv held m Invercargill.
