Tho following resolution was unanimously passed at a confer once oi miner*/ delegates from Denniston, Granity, Stockton and Mokihinui, hold ill Wostyort:—"That this conference onter3 its strong i>rotest against the appointment of Messrs Bote and Fulton on tho Royal Commission 6ot up by tho Government to inquire into tho ventilation and sanitation of coal and gold mines throughout tho dominion. further, we consider that tho Federation of Labour recommendation should havo been given effect to, and in the event of the Federation's recommendation being not considered the whole ot the miners throughout the ■dominion should bo asked not to give evidence or assist the Commission in any way. '
