LONDON WOOL SALES [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 16. The Hign Commissioner has cabled the following report:— The second series of wool sales commenced on Tuesday. There was animated competition for all descriptions. Trade is good, and manufacturers are busy. Continental trade lias improved steadily since the January series. Present prices are firm at closing rates of last sale. Some 116,000 bales of Now Zealand wool are available. The estimated values of New Zealand wools at the close of the first series of the colonial wool sales held in London on February 7 wore:—Superior merino Hid to Is Id per lb, medium merino 9id to lid, inferior merino 8d to 9d; fine crcss-breds lid to is 2d, medium cross-breds 9d to IOJd, coarse croesbreds 8d to lOd. THE SHARE MARKET. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 15. To-day's sales :-—Kuranui Sylvia 2s 'Jd, 2s Bd, Mount Welcome 4d, Crown 3s 6d, Talisman 495, 49s 6d, Waihi 63s 6d, 645.
