WAR IN THE AIR.

SHAM FIGHT BETWEEN AE ROPL ATS ES.

August Euler and Erick Lochner, on Euler patent aeroplanes, made some sensational evolutions near Darmstadt last month, says a Berlin correspondent, before tho military commission. Ascending simultaneously to a height of about 500 ft, they crossed and recrossed each other, exchanging first messages, then presumably missiles, the object being to test the possibility of aeroplanes attacking each other, or being used for the purpose of communicating instructions irom the general to small sections at a distance, unaccompanied by wireless telegraph apparatus. These mananivres were most successful. The airmen met and separated, curved round and round each other like birds at play, and finally stopped their engines repeatedly at a height of 150 ft from. the ground, and glided easily down, in order to demonstrate the remarkanle gliding properties of Euler's patent invention.
