LONDON, August 4. _ Mr Justice Kennedy, in Ins presidential address before Law Association at the Guildhall, eaid that the world's peace would he hastened if institutions most closely attccting human life were universalised antl unified.' If the lawful civilised communities were administered on practitallv identical principles it would engender a sincere sentiment oi solidarity- which would tend to make war imoossible. n ~ ■■ • ' The conference discussed the desirability, of contracting out of the Employers Liability Act in the cases of old weakly workmen who-were liable to discharge owing; to the extra liability their employment entailed. Speakers favourably commented on the New Zealand Acts. ' ■ Mr Justice Denniston is representing New Zealand.
