WELLINGTON, August 1 The Council, of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Assoc wit ion met tonight The Otago Centre offered £lO towards the cost of sending a New Zealand, team to compete at the interstate cross-country championship fn Tasmania. It was decided that as the date, of this event clashes with tho New Zealand cross-country championship a team cannot bo scut. There was a long discussion in regard to a letter from the Auckland Centre with reference to I). "Wilson's application for the New Zealand three miles walk record. The chairman had ruled at tho previous meeting that this record could not bo passed, as the application had not been made within sixty days of the performance. This was upheld by to-night's meeting. Tho request of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen, for reciprocity in > - egard to disqualifications was agreed to, provided the Lenp;ue fails into line with the Association on certain points where tho rules of the two bodies now differ. The Queensland Shield was awarded to the Wellington Centre for scoring most records iand standard;} at tho New Zealand championship meeting,
