Messrs F. M. B. Fisher, H. G. El!, Witty and T. E. Taylor, member* of Parliament, were in (town to-day, and will return to Wellington this evening.
Mrs Vahntine, wife of Dr Valintino. Inspector-General of Hospitals, died >esterday*at New Plymouth. On Saturday night Mrs Sadler, aunt of Mrs Valintino, died, and both deaths were unexpected, though Mrs ValinthiG had been in delicate health lately. The death is announced of Mr A. E. Atkinson, aged sixty-three, an old resident of Inglewood, and long connected with all its important local bodies. He was for fifteen years clerk of the Moa Road Board, and was one of the founders and for many years a director of the Moa Fanners' Union. For several years he was a director of the Moa Farmers' Dairy Company. He leaves a widow and four children.
