Both were educated in England. / . , • '»' A CONVICTION QUASHED. j ~■ BERLIN, July 28. _ i The Court of Appeal at Leipzig quashed tlie conviction and ordered the re-trial of Leslie Clark. _ (In February last Leslie Clark, an Englishman, was arrested m Berlin on a, charge of being m. possession of bills obtained in return for worthless shares. Clark was sentenced to two years imprisonment. A German named LessenbeT£ and two Berlin bill agents, arraigned with Clark, charged witli selling bills by fraudulent representation, {were acquitted.)
