AMUSEMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL. The attendance at the Theatre Royal last evening was by no iueans in keeping with the. merit, of the performance of ''Pete" or the excellence of tho company interpreting it. The play, which lias many strong scenes in it, was again very successful, and its pathetic story never lost, its hold, upon the audience. " Pete"'' will be produced again to-night. FULLER'S PICTURES. Though the temperature out of doors was uninviting last evening,' Ji large number of people attended the entertainment of Fuller's Pictures at the Oolesseum. The pictures were of a thoroughly attractive character, and all of them were well received. The same pictures will be shown this evening for the last time.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The chronomegaphone has proved v.l attractive addition to this week's programme of the Pathe pictures, and there was again a large audieiieo at His Majesty's Treat re hist evening. The same entertainment will bo given this evening, and a new selection of pictures will be shown to-morrow evening.
OPERA HOUSE. The Empire Vaudeville and Picture Company attracted another large audience to the Opera House last evening. The wonderful cycling feats of Valdaro and Varno were received with loud applause, and the dancing of tho Royal Sisters was another attractive feature of the programme. Madame Blanche Careili's singing and the turn!: of Miss Bcatty Macdonald and other members of the company were encored, and the films were all clear and steady. Tho programme will be repeated this evening.
