' The Prime Minister bad proposed to loavo J'or Christclmrch to-night to lay the foundation. stone of the Addington Pest Office., hut the visit lias been unavoidably postjmned. Sir Joseph Ward will leave for Auckland on Saturday to attend the funeral of the late Mr F. E. Ban me on Sunday. J.t is understood that lie will be* requested to lay the foundation stone of the Auckland Post oelite, but nothing is defmitelv settled.
