Thei-6 ha* been presented to the Natural History Museum at South Kensington a specimen of an animal indigenous to British New Guinea, and hitherto unknown to any natural history collection. The .native :iaino for tliis animal is the cus-eus. About the size of a small domestic oat. it uses its tail like a niouk-ey.
