CONCILIATION COUNCIL.
SLAUGHTERING TRADE DISPUTE. Tho Conciliation Council mot this morning to consider the demands of the Canterbury Slaughtermen's Assistants' lTnion. The Commissioner (Mr J. R. Triggs) presided, and the assessors for the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company and Christchurch Meat Company were Messrs N. L. Macbeth. W. Murray and F. T. Boys. For the Union Messrs T. J. Poole, J. Cahill and It 1 . Owens wore representatives. The Commissioner conferred with the representatives of the Union and the Council adjourned until 2.30 p.m.
