THE AUCKLAND VISIT. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, JYLarcili 1. Lord Kitchener, accompanied by the Prim© Minister and the military authorities, made a harbour trip this morning. TW military features and possibilities of the harbour were stwUed. Lord Kitchener and party landed at Fort Oautley and inspected the proposed sites of the new six-inch inaxk VII. guns. The Field-Marshal inspected No. 2 Garrison Company there, and at Port Takaouna he inspected No. 3 Company G. A.V., of which, he is an honorary member. From tho manner in which Lord Kitchener Btudied the eh arte and localities it w&s evident that ho was fully impressed with the importance of the port and its defence.
