MEMBERS ON THEIR WAT HOME. A DETACHMENT IN CHRISTCHURCH. THE STONEWALL AND THE SESSION. A large group of members of the Legislature arrived from the north this morning* and the railway station had quite a political atmosphere when the ferry steamer train made its appearance shortly after nine o'clock. . The arrivals included the Hon R. M'Kenzie (Minister of Public Works), the Hoii D. Buddo (Minister of Internal Affairs), the Hons C. C. Bowen (Speaker of the Legislative Couhoil), J. T. Paul, C. Louisson and T. Y. Duncan, and Messrs T, H. Davey", H. G. Ell, G. Wittiy, J. F. Arnold, G. M. Thomson, J. C. Thomson, J. A. Hanan, G. J. Anderson, J. Allen, R. Scott, T. K. Sidejr and T: Y. Seddon. : Th© southerji members proceeded south by the second express on their way" to their homes, i The Hon D. -Buddo went %6 Rangiora by the midday train. He expects to be at his home for' about a week.

The Hon R. M'Kenzie and Mr T. Y. Seddon will proceed to the West Coast to-morrow morning. The Minister is to meet the miners who recently struck at the State coal mine. The miners, it will be remembered, resumed work on the understanding that a settlement of their complaints would be made after the holidays, and the Minister is to discuss terms with' them. .

Mr James Allen will spend a few days with Mr R. H. Rhodes.-
