, \xiie uejiie or uuoa - maae many additions to the circle of its admirers at last evening's production by Poliard's Opera Company.. The opera was given very'successf.ully, and the principal songs and'' dances were warmly applauded., "Theßelle of Cuba" will be staged for the last time, to-night. To-m<!rrow night the company will give its first ' production in l/£iristohurch oi Audran's melodious comic " Olivette." A feature of the performance will be the dressing and the mounting. It will serve to introduce a new English baritone, Air Wilfrid Hilary, who was recently a member of Messrs Clarke, Meynefl and Gunn's " Hook ■«- of Holland "" Company. He. will be seen as the suave conspirator, the Due des Ifs, the cliaracter originally played in Christchurch by Mr W. S. : Percy. " Olivette " will be staged for- three " nights and will be followed on Wednesday by the tuneful comic opera " The Black Cloaks."
