THE WEATHER.

"■u.i » ■ . ANOTHER UGLY VISITOR. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 7. Mr Wragge says that a new Antarctic disturbance was advised on May 3 southward of Cape Leeuwin and travelling rapidly to New Zealand^ which will quickly come under its influence, ,. The advancing isobars look decidedly ugly, ' especially in the vicinity of Cape Farewell. Heavy winds and squalls may be expected from between north-narth-west and west and south-west and south, with vicious seas succeeding, and much rain. Cook Strait and the southern half of the dominion will be most affected. The period between May 8 and May 14 will fall under the influence of the disturbance, which will make things pretty lively, especially south from the fortieth parallel of latitude. Wellington very particularly will feel the disturbance.
