The boat is to be designed by Mr H! A Hastings Press x\ssociation tele- \ gram says that a man named Owen' Kelly was arrested last night on a charge of issuing gilded sixpences >ac half-sovereigns on the racecourse. He was remanded for a week. On April 23 an accused person was sentenced to six months' imprisonment by three Justices at the Christchurch Magistarte's Court. It was subsequently contended that the maximum imprisonment for the offence was three months' , imprisonment.
