The death is announced of Mr William Sievwright, solicitor, an old resident of Gisbprne, formerly a partner of Sir Rpbert Stout in the firm of Stout and Sievwright. Nurse Godfrey, of Dannevirke, has been appointed matron of the Gisborne Hospital. The resignation of the Rev Father Keogh, rector of St Patrick's College. Wellington, has been accented. He mU be succeeded by Dr Kennedy, of Meeanee, who will be replaced by Dean Smith, of Hastings.
