WELLINGTON TRAINING NOTES. [Per Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, April 30. At Trentham this morning Flitaway ran seven furlongs in limn 28 2-ssec. Husbandman and Whistleeraft ran a mile in lmin 45sec, and Kilwinning and Taskmaster put UP the morning's reoord for five furlongs in lmin 1 3-ssec. Martyrium beat Miscast over six. furlongs in lmin 18sec. Xylophone and Diamond Star ran five furlongs in lmin 2seo, Sir Tristram six furlongs in lmin 18sec, Kairoma a mile in lmin 48sec, Woodhey 6eVen furlongs in lmin 30sec and Maßter Soult and Elysian six furlongs in lmin 17 4-ssec. All Hed ran away from Diabolo over five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec. Courier covered six furlongs in lmin Msec, Aborigine and Maori King six furlongs in lmin 15jsec, and Roosevelt five furlongs in lmin 6sec. After breakfast, Bobrikoff, paced by. Glissade and Ambola, put up a record for the track, doing seven furlongs in lmin 27 2-ssee. Sunbonnet beat Aboriginal over five furlongs in lmin ljsec, Consolation doing the same with Morrie Rose in slightly slower time. Jtiallarat went a strong mile, the last seven furlongs taking lmin 3-lJsec. Sandstream ran two rounds at half pace. Aberbrothock and Perolina ran five furlongs in lmin SJseo. The Wellington Bacing Club's nutumn meeting will be commenced at Trentham tomorrow. The field for the Thompson Handicap includes a number of smart performers, and in tho North Island Challenge Stakes -a first-class four-year-old, Bobrikoff, will be opposed by a- good lot of two-year-olds, among them being Provocation, Mapri King 1 , Elysian and Taskmaster. Wharekura was injured so badly while taking part in the First Hurdle Handicap at the Australian Jockey Club's meeting 1 that it was feared he would have to be destroyed. T. Cahill rode Old Chappie when he won the First Hurdle 'Handicap at the Australian Jockey Club's meeting on Easter Saturday. Cahill, is given a large share of the credit for the win, one Sydney writer describing him as the best cross-country rider now in the game. Seddon. the full brother 'to Wairiki, pulled up lame after the Sydney Cup. D. J. Price has not had much luck with his team of horse's in Victoria lately. On Easter Saturday, however, Otira, carrying 6at 13lb, won th© Easter Handicap at Epsom, and two days later, with 7st (including 7lb penalty), she won -the Easter Cup at Williamstown.
