[Per Press Association.] FEILDING, April 20. tfhe Feilding Chamber of Commerce last nigHt decided . to enter a protest against the recent valuation of the borough property. It stated that the valuation showed an alt round increase of 75 per cent on that of two years ago.- This it characterised as unqust and unfair in view of the depression. The Borough Council was asked to take action. A public meeting is to be held to arrange a case for the Court. WELLINGTON, April 20. The Railways Superannuation Fund Board passed allowances involving an annual liability of £5576 13s 6d. _Sixtysix ex-members are interested in the distribution. Allowances totalling £254 a year were made to four widows and fourteen children from the deceased contributors' fund. The secretary reported that, the fund was in a satisfactory condition. NELSON, April 20. A record was put up in loading the Rakaia with frozen meat at the Nelson Wharf. Some waggons were discharged in nine . minutes, and the average loading was a thousand carcases an hour. This constitutes a record for a New Zealand port. The loading of 14,000, carcases will be completed this evening.
