MAJOR-GENERAL CLEMENTS. United Press Association — By Electrio Telegraph— CopyrigH.. LONDON, April 3. The death of Major-General Ralph Clements, ~ from appendicitis, is announced. (Major-General R. A. P. Clements, who at the time of his death was in command of a military district in India, served in the Kaffir and Zulu wars, in the Burinah campaign and in South Africa.) T. R. ALLT. SYDNEY, April 4. Mr T. R. Allt 4 chairman of the North Coast Steamship Company, is dead. He recently returned from a visit to New Zealand. HON W. M'CTJLLOUGH. MELBOURNE, April 4. The Hon W. M'Cullough, squatter and ex-Minister, is dead ; aged seventyseven.
(The Hon W.« M'Cullough, who was born in Scotland, arrived in Victoria in 1852. He was extensively interested in pastoral pursuits, and for many years held- a seat in the Legislative Council of Victoria.' On two occasions he held Ministerial' portfolios.)
