THE NIMROD.
LIEUTENANT SHACKLETON ! S LECTURE. THE EXPEDITION ILLUSTRATED. The lecture to be given by Lieutenant Shackleton on the work of !the Nimrod expedition has been fixed for Wednesday evening, and will be given in His Majesty's Theatre. Besides dealing with the work of the .various exploring parties, the lecturer will show a number of pictures taken in the polar regions, which give a clear idea of- the hardships endured by the men. The proceeds of the lecture will be devoted to local charities. The charges of admission will be: — Dress circle ss, orchestral stalls 3s, back stalls and pit Is. The box plan will be opened at the Dresden tor-morrow at 10 a.m.
