Hicksou (Commissioner of Stamps), Colonel Loveday (Commandant School Cadets), Messrs W. H. Northcroft and A. Turnbull (Stipendiary Magistrates), Mr R. Evatt (Inspecting Officer, Agricultural Department), Messrs Roskrudge, Holdsworth, A..H. M'Lean and John King (Audit Department), Mr Blnndell (Treasury), Messrs W. Barron and H. Trent (Lands Department)., Mr E. J. von Dadelszen (Registrar-General) , Lieutenant-Colonel Webb (Secretary Council of Defence). APPOINTMENT'S AND TRANSFERS. Mr J. D. Ritchie to be chairman and inspector of tbe Land Purchase Board; Mr Bamford, Auckland, to be deputy registrar-general of lands; Mr Hay, to be inspector of prisons; Mr R. Carter, to be secretary and inspector of Customs ; Mr Nixon, of Napier, to be collector of Customs at Wellington ; Mr Brabazon, landing surveyor at Christchurch, to be collector at Napier; Mr M'Laurin, landing waiter at Auckland, to be landing surveyor at Christchurch ; Mr John Strauchon, of Auckland, to be 6urveyor-general ; Mr Thomas Noel Broderick, to be Commissioner of Crown Lands and chief surveyor, ,and to have charge of the ! Hawke's Bay district ; Mr Eric C. Gold Smith, Christ-church, to be promoted to Auckland, ' vice Mr Strauchon; Mr Flanagan, Commissioner of" Crown Lands, Nelson, to go to Ghristchurch as Commissioner of Grown Lands, vice Mr Gold Smith ; Mr John William Davis, chief draughtsman in the Wellington office to be chief draughtsman in tile head office; Mr Maurice Crompton Smith, acting chief draughtsman at New Plymouth, to be -promoted to the Wellington office, vice Mr Davis ; Mr Archibald M'Gavock, of Invercargill, to be chief clerk at Invercargill ; Mr George Henry Billiard-, district surveyor on tho Taranaki staff, to be land officer and inspecting surveyor at Gisborhe, vice Mr Brodrick ; Mr W.
