♦- OPERA HOUSE. Ono of the largest audiences that have seen the Wide World Pictures attended at the Opera House last evening every part of the theatre being crowded. The new programme is one of the best that the management has placed before its patrons, and its succcs was instantaneous. Of the reallife films, that showing bear pits in Switzerland was very interesting, but log-floating in Morvan, a forest district of Brittany, made a subject that gave the biograph splendid opportunities, and the series of pictures projected made it apparent that the kmematocraphing operator had done his work I well " Beauty and the Beast was a remarkable spectacular series, in which the colour effects were rich and artistic The dramatic films included many picture-stories of considerable merit, especially "A Tragedy of Japan and "The Blind Woman's Daughter." "The Unlucky Winner," in which the adventures of a Peruvian Llama play an important and humorous part, and "The Cabby's Sweetheart" were the best of the comic pictures. The programme will be repeated this evening.
