POULTRY.

At the poultry sales in Christchurch to-day tliere were fair entries and a large attendance of the publio and buyers. Competition was very keen and prices all round were higher than at any previous sale* this season. The following are prices:— Roosters 4s 4d to 6s 2d, heiis 2s lOd to 4s lOd, pullets 3s to 5s Bd, ducks 6s to 6s 7d, geese- 6s 6^l, turkey heas 9s to lis, turkey gobblers 19s to £1. Purebreds—Roosters to £1, hens to 13s 6d, pullets to 13s, ail at per pair. Of fresh eggs, there was a large supply, $nd the prices obtained were higher than for the corresponding time last year.
