» : . MISHAPS OF A CAVALRY CHARGE. United Press Association— By Electric , Telegraph— Copyright. (Received August 20, 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 20. In the course of a sham fight in the Liverpool district, while the cavalry were charging over rough, country Captain Wedd was unhorsed and badly injured. Several men were slightly injured, and two horses were killed.
[Per Press Association.] GORE, August 20. An old man named William Poison died suddenly at the residence of Mr James Cooper, Waikaia, last night. Deceased was an rid identity in Central Otago, and had resided for twenty years at Waikaia.
