Frozen Meat.—The Frozen Meat Trades Association's SmithfieJd market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meats are based ' on actual sales of not less than 100. carcases of mutton or lamb, or twenty-five carcases of beef of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of -the shipments now on the market:—Mutton—New Zealand cross-bred wethers and maiden ewes, North Island, 551b to 651b, 3gd; best brands, 3|d; rest unchanged. Lamb-r-Canterbury, light, 281b-361b, 5 9-16d; medium, sfd; heavy, 361b-421b, sd. Beef—Ox forequarters, 180lb-2201b, 3|d; ox hindquarters, 1801b-2201b, 4fd. River Plate mutton is unchariged; beef, forequarters 3d, hindquarters 4^d.

Copper. — On spot, per ton ; three months', £60 16s per ton ; electrolytic, £63 per ton. Tin. — On spot, £136 per ton ; three months', £136 6s per ton. " Lead. — £13 8s 9d per ton ; large business. Silver. — Is llfd per oz. GRAIN. Wheat. — The total quantities of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom amount to 1,910,000 quarters, and for the Continent to 1,110,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments, 370,000 quarters. MISCELLANEOUS. Copra.— South Sea, in bulk, £16 7s 6d.
