BOXING.

CHRISTCHURCH SPORTS CLUB. A meeting of the committee. was held on Saturday evening. Correspondence was received from Mr H. B. Lttek containing a suggestion in connection with the proposal to establish secondary schools ciharhpionshipß. It was decided to place tho correspondence before the conference of representatives of local Associations which will be held on Wednesday.

The matters which the New Zealand Council proposes to bring before the conference were discussed, and the club's representatives were given a free hand* in voting. Proposals for the betterment of the sport were also discussed, and the representatives were instructed to place th© committee's views before the conference. It was decided io call a meeting; of those wlio had contributed to the Boxing Hall Fund for the purpose of considering the best method to adopt to bring the project to a definite issue. # A large amount of correspondence in connection with the New Zealand championships wa« dealt with, and, entries having closed, it Was decided to draw the bouts.
