A WARNING TO CRIMINALS

The Turkish troops at Smyrna released all the criminals, and warned them that they would be promptly hanged if they committed fresh crimes.
By order of the League of the Union )>f Progress, General Tewfik and other prominent officers were accused of treason, and publicly degraded at Smyrna. The Young Turkish Party is finding great difficulty in restraining the antagonism of the Greeks and Bulgarians fet Monastir.
The stevedores at Constantinople endeavoured to compel their -workmen lo join in a strike. The Young Turks' Committee promptly overawed them jttrith infantry. <■ Riza Pasha, having refunded £200,000, has been allowed to return iiome.
