CONSTANTINOPLE, August 14.
Mehemet Riaa and Zekki, ex-Mlnis-ters of Turkey, have been liberated on agreeing to refund £200,000 and £6000 respectively wrongly acquired during their tenure of office.

Remarkable scenes are taking place at Beyrout, where Christians and Moslems are jointly celebrating the new regime with frequent reiterations of the sentiment of brotherhood between Moslems and Christians, who, they declare, should henceforward live to-
gether in peace.
