Costing about as much as a good horse, the camel's speed is equally great, and his life much longeu. He is, moreover, able to carry three times as much as one horse. Some harps have been discovered in Egyptian tombs the strings of which, in several instances, were intact, and gave forth distinct sounds after an estimated silence of 3000 years.
