The Cullinan diamond has been cut into two beautiful "white stones. One will be placed in.tho King's crown and the other in the sceptre. (The Cullinan diamond was found in the Premier mine in South Africa on January 25, 1905. Excepting the disputed stone, which is amongst the treasures of the Crown jewels of PortugaJj and which many consider to be a white topaz rather than a diamond, it is the largest diamond in the -world, weighing 3025J carats, or rather more than twenty ounces. The original weight of the Koh-i-noor wa6 nearly 800 carats, butf by unskilful cutting it was reduced to 279 carats.) THE EUCHARIST CONGRESS. Owing to many recent accidents in various parts of England, and the difficulty experienced by' the police in controlling motors, an Anti-motorists' League has been started to check reckless driving.
