Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.10 a.m. SATURDAY, AUGUST 3. For Australian States, etc. (due Melbourne August 15) and South Africa, per express, to. connect with Maheno, at 11.10 a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.23 a.m. ; guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. For Greymouth, pei- Pefcono, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Monte Video and Teneriffe (due London September 25), per Mararoa, to connect with Arawa, at 4.15 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m. ; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train; money orders, registered articles, books and newspapers, 3.15 p.m.

The next mail from the United Kingdom is due in Christchurch on August 11, via Brindiai. The. nest mail from the- United Kingdom and Canada is due in Christchurch about August 18. via Vancouver.
