A CHINESE TRAGEDY.
A FIERCE STRUGGLE. [Pek Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 6. A boy returning from the Mount Roskill School yesterday afternoon looked into a cottage occupied by two Chinese market gardeners, Ah Jing and Louie Yang, and saw Ah Jing stretched out on the floor with .a gun beside him. When investigation was; made Ah Jing was found in bed fully clothed with an extensive wound in the abdomen, the .flesh being seared.jso that it was evident that he had /been shot at close range. The woxmded man stated that Louie Yang had shot him. Apparently there was a fierce struggle, the bed being covered with blood, the curtains were torn down, and there was a stream of b'ood culminating in a pool where Ah Jirig fell. Ah Jing said a quarrel arose owinrr to Louie Ynnsc lying in bed while he worked. "There was much talk." he added; "we ficht, ho l'Vl." A" 1 * -Ting is in the Hospital, and his condition is very critical. Louie Yanp". who was arrested this morn ins at Panmure, had one hand badly cut.
