OBITUARY.

MR ANDREW STORRY. The late Mr Andrew Storry, of "Croft-head," Southbridge, was the second son of James Storry, of "North- . field," Whitburn, Linlithgowshire, Scotland, and waa born in 1821. He; came with his family to New Zealand^ in the ship Aboukir and landed in Dunedin in 1864. After spending a year at Pelorus, Marlborough, Mr Sfcorry decided, to take up farming, and in 1865 removed to Canterbury and took up the farm upon which he re- j sided until his death. Mr Storry took ■ an active part in establishing the original portion of the Southbridge School. He was a member of the North Rakaia River Board *of Conser- i vators and one of the promoters of the Public Cemetery. He also took a great 1

, j interest in inaugurating, the. fir*t fr.ri;- ; ' '' flower and stock show in Southbririga. ,1 Mr Storry was one of the original " 1 members of the Southbridge PresbyI terian Church, of which he was an , elder. Ho leaves a widow, three daughters and two sons. The funeral, which tools place at Southbridgo on Monday, was well attended) and the service at the grave was conducted by , the Rev R. W.
