AMUSEMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE. The moving pictures at the Opera House drew a large attendance last evening, and- were successfully shown. To-morrow evening a change of programme will be submitted. A second series of views of the Franco-British Exhibition, including a panorama of the Australian Court, will be shown, as well as a long film showing the scenery and customs of Sicily. There will also be new comic pictures. THEATRE ROYAL. There was a very large attendance at the Theatre Royal last evening, and the entertainment provided by the Merrymakers was as successful as on previous evenings. Miss Betty Ohls, Sir S. Walsh and Mr J. M. Campbell were again the most popular artists, but every one of the members of the company was well received. This evening eoveral changes will be madp in the programme. * THE LITTLE BREADWINNER." On Friday evening, at the Theatre Royal, Messrs Meynell and Gunn's company will open a season with "The Little Breadwinner," a play that has just conoluded an exceptionally successful season in Melbourne. Miss Beatrice Holloway will be in the lead, supported by many popular arjtists. The opening piece will bo succeeded by "The Stepmother," by Mr Arthur Shirley, author of "Two Little Vagabonds," and the season will close with a revival of " The Fatal Wedding." The box plan is at ;the Dresden. MACMAHON'S 4 PICTURES. On Monday evening 'next, at His Majesty's Theatre, Messrs Macmahon will inaugurate a special popular seaI sou of living pictures at popular .prices. The- management have kept well abreast of tbe times, and equipped themselves with the latest metfiodtS' of projection and an esrtensive selection of new " picture stories." Among the novelties promised are the complete presentation of the powerful drama, "Human Hearts," the creat sporting I pictures " The Ten Miles' BHnt to • Point Steeplechase" and "Training a Trotting Horse."
