Sir,—ln theO'Star" of yesterday appears a statement made by Brigadier Albiston, of the Salvation Army, that he had received a note from the Trades and Labour Council containing the address of a "deserving case for relief. l\ly executive desire to emphatically contradict this statement, none of the officials of the Trades and Labour Cottncil having had any communication rfith the Salvation Army on any matter whatever.—We are, etc., ' ALFRED D.
