THE WESTPORT MURDER.
. * [Per Pbess Association.] NELSON, June 27. The hearing of the Westport murder case was continued at the Supreme* Court this afternoon. A number of witnesses were examined for the defence, but no new material evidence was adduced, the testimony being mainly a repetition of that given at the inquest, and in the lower Court. Mr M'Donald, a Westport solicitor, detailed an interview in the gaol between accused Halinen and 'Andersen and Haakonson, who was with them on the night of the tragedy. The taking of evidence has now occupied five days, and is 6tfll unfinished.
