Mr A. G. Hales, the war correspondent and author, proposes to contest the Nortn-west Manchester seat* as a Labour, tariff reform and amiy reform candidate, although Mr W. Joynson Hicks will again oppose Mr Winston Churchill on behalf of the Unionists.
