Mr Thomas Lough, Secretary to th«T Board of Education, will retire, the lat*l" ter heing created a Privy Councillor*, j Mr Thomas M'Kinnon Wood, mem* 1 ber for the St Rollox Division of Gla*>' gow, has been appointed Secretary W the Boa«J of Education, in successions 1 to Mr Lough, and Dr T. J. Macnamara, f Secretary to the Local Government 1 ' Board in Sir Henry Campbell-Banner- i man's Ministry, becomes Secretary to. the Admiralty in place of Mr Edmund: Robertson. j Mr C. F. G. Masterman, member fotfi West Ham, well known as a brilliant author and journalist, replaces Dr Macnamara as Secretary to the Local Government Board, and Mr C. E. H. Hobhouse, Under-Secretary for India' in the late Government, becomes Financial Secretary to the Treasury, in suo», cession to Mr Walter Runciman, who has been promoted to Cabinet rank, a» President of the Board of Education. •
