EASTER WHEEL RACE MEETING. Judging from the large number of entries received for the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club's Easter Wheel Race meeting, to be held at Lancaster Park on Good Friday afternoon, and their representative character, a really i first-class afternoon's sport should be provided. The programme includes, amongst other events, the Canterbury Firms' Championship Pursuit Wheel Race, of twelve laps, for which several local firms have nominated teams, whilst a team from a Temuka firm will also start. As the rivalry is exceptionally keen and healthy, an exciting race is assured. The Easter Wheel Race has received a large entry, and amongst the entrants is a representative from the Golden West (Western Australia), who has been given pride of place with the Royal Enfield Cup winner, Campion. The North Island Tepresentative, F. Wells, who performed so- well at the last New Zealand Wheel Race meeting, is also amongst the entrants. The list, in fact, includes almost every rider of note in the dominion. A Grand Sheffield Handicap, over three distances, and the Fire Brigade competitions will also largely assist towards increasing the attractiveness of the meeting.
